Agave

The Mexicans know that an Agave plant is more than a big cactus. In these pictures, you see the local Mexican tequila expert explaining about the Agave plant and the many different ways that it can be used.

If I recall correctly, you can also make rope of the plant's fibres. The main application we focused on however was Tequila and we were offered the opportunity to try and buy some local specialties.
